What shapes me?
I am a digital designer and I have a compulsion to organize things. I also like rock climbing, making music, and consuming stories.

Most days you’ll find me rambling on about a new dimension of human culture I just learned about, along with how it impacts everything we do.
Why digital design?
I am obsessive about communication.  How, where, when, how often, how intensely, and in what order we should communicate concepts to create clarity and significant impacts.

I’m sure part of this came from growing up with a mother who was a social worker, listening to her trying to get through to people who needed to hear hard truths. And part of it is probably just that I love how well-told stories make me feel and see the world a bit more clearly.

People who know me, know that I consistently throw myself into domains foreign to me to gain new perspectives, both in work and in life. Ideas which shape and form my design processes, frameworks, and strategies, in my pursuit of mastery in digital design.
What else inspires me?
I’m inspired by psychology, theatre, economics, city planning, art, video games, anthropology, movies/tv shows, entrepreneurs, travelling, food, and people who have been able to use their eccentric quirks to benefit both their own local communities and broader international communities.
What am I doing right now?
  • Learning about how people management impacts user and customer experiences
  • Getting deep into the nuances of organizing and visually communicating complex data to tell more holistic stories to shape better outcomes
  • Learning how to build sites on Squarespace to try to help local business communicate with their customers and community more clearly; especially in the more physically disconnected world we live in during this pandemic
